It’s Time To Unwrap The Orange Box!

When you think of baking soda, do you think of that little orange box you stick in the fridge and then forget about?  Or do your thoughts go to one of those small but important ingredients used in cookies?  The good news is you can get a box of baking soda for under $2.50, and you’ll wonder why you waited so long to use it for your beauty needs. Here are just a few ways you can use this versatile product.

You know baking soda eliminates odors, so why not put it to the test?  If you have a smelly pair of sneakers, sprinkle a little baking soda in them to get rid of those odors.  You can also add a dab to your tooth paste (it’ll also help with whitening your teeth).  Some people even pat it on their underarms to help eliminate or neutralize odors.

How much money have you spent in the past on products to exfoliate your skin?  You’ve probably purchased facial mask and facial scrub products and maybe even body scrubs, and how much did they cost you?  Why not use baking soda as a scrub?   It might not have the sweet smell those commercial products did, but it will cost a whole lot less and work just as well (if not better).

When your hair feels dull and weighed down with products, try using a little baking soda with your shampoo.  Women swear by baking soda as an aid to shampoo (or even in lieu of shampoo) and claim that it not only cleanses the hair but leaves it and the scalp feeling soft and manageable.

A baking soda bath may be the ultimate in spoiling yourself.   Not only will you leave the tub feeling fresh and clean, but a baking soda bath leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth.

So next time you go to the supermarket, pick up an extra box of baking soda and put it on your lotion & potion priority list.  Sounds like a “Smart Beauty Routine” to me!
